Free TMUA practice test
The maths admissions test for courses at Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial and other universities.
This is a complete TMUA practice test: two papers of 20 multiple-choice questions, 75 minutes each, with no calculator — the same shape as the real test.
Paper 1 checks how well you apply A-level-style maths to unfamiliar problems. Paper 2 checks mathematical reasoning: logic, proof and spotting errors in arguments. Every question here is original and comes with a full worked solution.

How to use this practice test
- Sit each section with the timer on, in one go, without notes or a calculator.
- Submit to see how many you got right and which topics cost you marks.
- Read the worked solution for every question you missed — and for any you got right by guessing.
- Redo the missed questions a few days later without looking at the solutions.
- Finish with all sections back to back to practise your stamina and pacing.
How the real TMUA is scored
The real TMUA reports one score from 1.0 to 9.0 based on the number of questions you answer correctly, with no marks lost for wrong answers. This practice test shows how many you got right; it does not convert that into a 1–9 score.
Format checked on UAT-UK: TMUA on 1 October 2026. Always confirm dates and rules with UAT-UK before you book.
