Method and limitations

Method version: gre-score-percentile-v1. Inputs and results stay in this browser page; analytics receive the page view, not the values you enter or answers you select.

  • Every percentile comes directly from the current ETS interpretive data tables (2026–27 edition), which cover all test takers from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2025.
  • A percentile rank is the percent of test takers who scored lower than the selected score — ETS's own definition.
  • Subject Test percentiles are published by ETS in 20-point steps only. For reported scores between published points, this tool shows the two nearest published values and never interpolates.
  • Scores where ETS leaves the table cell blank are shown as “not published” rather than estimated.
  • Percentiles are ETS's published historical ranks for the July 2022 – June 2025 reference group; they are not a score prediction and can change with each ETS edition.
  • Subject Test percentiles are published in 20-point steps; unpublished intermediate scores are bracketed, never interpolated.
